About Fadó

Fadó (pronounced f'doe) is an Irish term meaning 'long ago.' The Irish use it to start a story (the equivalent of 'once upon a time' ). We chose the name because at Fadó, we are telling the story of Ireland's evolving Pub culture.

You have always gotten great Guinness, Fish and Chips and fun in the best pubs in Dublin. Today, you will also see from-scratch cooking, craft beers from local breweries and quality, house made cocktails. The Irish Pub in Ireland has evolved and we have evolved with them.

Irish owned and operated, we started in Austin in the Warehouse district in 1997; many things have changed in this great city and within our pub. But, we still manage to 'keep it weird.'

Ours is an Irish pub where the food is as important as the drink with all the items made fresh in house. You will see our food menu change seasonally and adapt to make sure Fadó is a quality option whether you are just snacking or going out for a full meal. You won't get a better pint of draught beer in town due to our comprehensive quality program (we call it 'From Gas to Glass') and we feature a list of high quality wines and ever changing seasonal cocktails.

International sports is a big part of our culture and we'd be known as the top soccer bar in Austin. During the season, you'll see the English Premier League and other major European leagues, Champions League, and the World Cup. Of course, we show US Soccer and all the major rugby competitions and American sports.
